F1 Aberdeen and Kincardine

 

These two families are connected based on a Y-37, and Y-67 STR testing. They are a genetic distance of 2 on 37 markers setting the range of their most recent common ancestor between 1250-1850CE. The terminal SNP is confirmed to be R-S764 and is estimated to have arisen around 400CE. Ancient DNA tested in the Faroe Islands descends from this SNP and many of the descendant branches are of Scottish origin.
