James Edward Burgess of Lancashire Co., England

James Edward Burgess was born about 1880 in Scotland, possibly in Glasgow, one of eight sons of his father. He married Christina Anderson circa 1900 (she may have died in London in 1964, aged 79 years). He moved his family to Liverpool, Lancashire Co., England, after 1911. He apparently died there (perhaps in 1937, age 68, in 1941, age 68, or in 1942, age 71), having had one son:

John Edward Burgess was born on 15 May 1908 at Glasgow, Scotland. He may have married firstly Marjorie Blain in 1937 at Liverpool, Lancashire Co., England, and secondly Carolyn Faye Miller in 1955 in Pennsylvania. He served as a Flight Engineer for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He emigrated from England to Solebury, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania, on 6 August 1950. He died there in 1974.

John Edward Burgess is the ancestor of J. L. Cassidy.
