John Burgess I was born on 10 January 1784 at Davenham, Cheshire Co., England. He married Jane Boam on 16 January 1809 at Bakewell, Derbyshire Co., England. He served in the Chatsworth Regiment of the local militia in 1809. He died on 22 December 1829 at Bakewell, Derbyshire Co., England, having had four sons:

Joseph Burgess I was born June 11 1815 in Bakewell, Derbyshire, England. He married Anne Shaw in Bakewell March 2, 1840 and had 2 sons by her. He later married Harriet Kershaw October 10th 1867 at Wilmslow, Cheshire, England and had another son. Joseph lived in Chorley, Cheshire as early as 1861. Joseph died in 1880 having had 3 sons.

Peter Burgess Sr. II was born on 9 August 1818 at Bakewell, Derbyshire Co., England. He married Margaret Long on 5 November 1838 at Monyash, Derbyshire Co. He is listed on the 1841-61 censuses for Bakewell, Derbyshire Co. He died there on 2 March 1862, having had five sons:

Thomas Burgess II was born 19 July 1820 at Bakewell, Derbyshire Co., England. He married Frances Holland on 27 November 1843 at Youlgreave, Derbyshire Co. He is listed in the 1871 census in Kiveton Park, Wales, Yorkshire Co., and in 1881 in Whittington, Derbyshire Co. He died there before 1891, having had three sons:

2. Alfred Burgess (1851-1891+) of Westminster, England
3. Herbert Burgess (1867-1891+) of Whittington, Derbyshire Co., England
