Edward West Burgess III was born 31 August 1852 at Burgessville, Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada. He married Kate Blanche Green on 5 January 1876 at Waterford, Ontario, and secondly (La)Vina __. He was a patent solicitor. He resettled in the United States about 1885, and died in July 1923, having had four sons:
